Happy Birthday and Happy Fourth. God Bless America.

Subject: BRINKLEY BASS BIRTHDAY

Today we celebrate the birth of our nation and also the birth of a great American, Harry Brinkley Bass, born July 4, 1916!

This is a day we celebrate the birth of our nation (one Nation Under God) and a day we remember those who served our country and are serving our country, to protect our individual and collective freedoms. This is a day in which our country comes together to make a statement--We will never forget. What a great day and what a great historical fact that it is the birthday of Brinkley Bass!

One great way we have to make certain that great men are not forgotten is through great books. And I have recently learned about a great book that will soon be published.A complete biography of Brinkley Bass will be published Oct. 1, 2010.  The 336 page book, with 71 color photographs, provides details and insight into the short life of this Great American.

The author of this book, "Trailing A Texas Eagle" is Glenn Cummings.  Glenn will be joining our Association Reunion in Branson and will provide background details, including his recent interviews with still living fighter pilot squadron mates, Brink's Naval Academy classmates, and Brink's relatives.

We will indeed NEVER FORGET!

Very respectfully,
Tom Camp
