Jacob, my gt.gt.gt.grandfather, wandered around TN for a while before divorcing his wife, Martha "Patty" Moore, and moving to IL and then supposedly on to Dunklin Co., MO. I do not know where he died or where he is buried. He owned dry-goods stores in TN and IL. My gt.gt.grandfather, Alfred H. Slover, stayed behind in Jefferson Co., TN, married his first cousin, Cynthia Moore, and then he moved to Hamilton Co., TN where my gt.grandfather, Robert Anderson Slover, was born. In about 1880 Alfred and his second wife, Mary Vandegriff, moved to Crawford Co., AR. Robert Anderson Slover moved to and lived in Dunklin Co., MO until his first wife died. He then moved to AR and married Flora Ann Martha Slover, a distant cousin from Gene's line. My grandmother was the daughter of Robert Anderson Slover and Lucinda Tennessee McDonald.
